A quick, no-hype primer on how the game works and how to make smart first moves.

What is Sorare?

Sorare is a fantasy sports game played with digital player cards. You build a lineup of real players; when they play real matches, they earn a fantasy score (the "So5" score) based on their on-field performance. Better performances mean better scores — and better rewards.

How does scoring work?

Each player earns points from their real-world stats — goals, assists, minutes, defensive actions, and more, weighted by position. A striker is rewarded for scoring; a defender for clean sheets and duels. Your job is to field the players most likely to post a big score in the upcoming game week.

What makes a good pick?

The managers who win consistently focus on a few things: is the player actually going to start (and finish) the match? Are they in form? Is the matchup favorable? Is anyone injured or suspended? That's exactly what Sorare's Edge does for you — we rank every player by projected score and explain the "why" in plain language, so you don't have to track it all yourself.

Avoid the classic beginner mistakes

Don't captain a suspended or injured player (we exclude them automatically). Don't chase last week's big score without checking this week's fixture. And don't overpay for a name — look at the projection and the matchup.
